Bond of Truth
The conversation every marriage deserves
Three steps. One honest beginning.
01
Download the official Satya Bandhan affidavit. Fill it privately, on your own device, in your own time. We never see your answers. Your declaration stays entirely yours.
02
A dedicated person from Satya Bandhan will assist both partners to independently attend a live video session with a certified e-notary. Each receives a notary-attested affidavit.
03
What you share with your partner, and when, is entirely yours. Satya Bandhan gives you each a notarised affidavit to offer. The moment of exchange belongs to you alone.
"This is the document both of you will fill — privately, independently, honestly. Read it before you decide."
India has rituals for every part of marriage. The roka. The engagement. The mehendi, the sangeet, the pheras. We have ceremonies for the celebration, the family, the community, the gods.
We have nothing for the honest conversation between two people before all of it begins.
No structure. No language. No moment where both partners sit with the same questions and answer them fully, equally, without fear of judgment.
We thought carefully about our role in this. The conclusion we came to was that our role should be as small as possible.
We do not read your declaration. We do not store your answers. We do not see your health history, your financial position, your past. You download the affidavit, fill it on your own device, in your own time, and it stays yours. We see a case code, a payment, and a confirmation that both of you attended your notary session. Nothing more.
What we give you is a structure — a professionally designed, legally grounded affidavit that asks the right questions in the right order, and gives both partners equal ground to stand on. We pair you with your partner. We guide you through the notarisation process. And then we step entirely aside.
The truth you share with each other is yours. The moment of exchange is yours. We are only the beginning of that conversation, not its keeper.
Because a conversation can be misremembered. A notarised affidavit cannot.
Satya Bandhan is for couples who trust each other completely — and want that trust on the record.
The notarisation records a single fact: that both of you chose to answer the same questions, independently and honestly, before everything else began.
That record belongs to both of you. Not to us.
We know that in India, a marriage is rarely only about two people. Families carry their own anxieties — about what they don't know, about what may have been kept from them, about whether the match is truly what it appears to be.
Satya Bandhan gives families something no background check can: not information about the other person, but confidence that both individuals have had the conversation. That both have answered the same questions. That the marriage is beginning from a place of mutual honesty, witnessed and recorded.
That confidence is worth something. We think it is worth quite a lot.
You are not protecting yourself from your partner.
You are protecting your marriage, together.
